Why do you use Laravel?
Laravel is one of the leading frameworks on the web, providing a full suite of tools and features allowing us to extend and build your project. It is lightning-fast, highly secure, and battle tested. We've been using it for over 10 years for a wide range of projects.
What types of projects is Laravel suited for?
The framework itself works for almost all projects. However, it can have some more overhead than needed for very simple brochure sites where there is no need for a control panel. In this instance, we still use Laravel alongside a static site generator, Jigsaw, to provide us similar tooling while building your website. When launching we then complete a build step locally and upload the raw HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files, this provides your visitors with a lightning-fast experience. However, even when Laravel needs to be deployed alongside the production website, our projects are still super-fast, by making use of efficient code and caching.
Can you build custom APIs and SaaS platforms?
Absolutely. These can be much more complex projects, so we'd want to allow time for discussion to make sure everyone is aligned on the scope, requirements, and other important details. Over the years, we've built a wide range of APIs and API integrations across many different projects.
Can you take over or improve an existing Laravel project?
Yes, we can. We've taken over, updated, and continued to extend a number of existing projects. Get in touch and we can discuss your requirements and what the migration and future development plan could look like.
How do you manage deployments and environments?
This depends on the project's requirements and setup. If we host your project, deployment will usually involve cPanel pulling changes from a Git repository and then running any post-deployment tasks, such as database migrations and dependency updates. If your project is hosted on a custom server with us, the process is similar, but it is completed directly on the server. If we do not host your project, you'll either have access to our changes through a Git repository for you to deploy, or we'll have other arrangements in place.
