Project Brief

I was approached by an agency on behalf of the club to build a new website with a custom CMS and member management solution. The project required a feature-rich, customisable website system, complete with an admin area that provided a range of member management tools, alongside a way for members to log in to manage their profile or renew their membership.

Since 2024, the club has moved its services fully to Grizzly Pumpkin, and we have been providing our full suite of services ever since, including ongoing development to expand the system’s functionality, maintenance services, custom hosting, and more.

The Workflow

Setting the Foundation

For a project of this scale, alignment is everything. We partnered closely with the agency to audit requirements and establish a rock-solid set of acceptance criteria. By defining clear milestones early on, we ensured all stakeholders had a unified roadmap, mitigating "scope creep" and ensuring a predictable delivery timeline.

Visualising the Member Journey

We moved into a high-fidelity design phase, crafting intuitive interfaces for complex user paths including membership portals, interactive join forms, and administrative dashboards. Through iterative refinement, we turned abstract requirements into a clear visual vision that served as our blueprint for the build.

Powering Interaction with Laravel & Vue

We architected the core platform using Laravel and Blade for a robust, SEO-friendly structure. For the more complex, multi-stage wizards, we integrated Vue.js to provide a seamless, app-like user experience. This was paired with an admin ecosystem designed to manage everything from member data to real-time payment histories.

Scaling Beyond the Launch

Our partnership didn’t end at "Go-Live." We provide ongoing green-powered hosting and proactive maintenance while consistently expanding the platform’s capabilities. Recent enhancements include digital membership cards, advanced store controls, and custom reporting tools that keep the club at the forefront of their industry.
